A Career in IT, Built with Passion

Based in Wrocław, Poland, I’ve spent over two decades immersed in the world of IT. From my earliest curiosity with game consoles to leading enterprise-grade infrastructure projects, my journey has always been driven by one thing: passion. Here's how it unfolded.

Chapter 1: The Spark (1993–1998)

It all began in the early '90s with an Amiga CD32. While most kids were content playing games, I wanted more. I explored the Workbench interface, discovered the system console, and started asking questions: What else can this machine do? By 1998, I had my first PC—Pentium II MMX, Windows 95. Games were fun, but the real thrill came from exploring the operating system, writing batch scripts, modding games, and experimenting with applications. Trial and error became my teacher.

Chapter 2: Education and Early Work (2005–2009)

My curiosity led me to study Information Technology at ICT College in Świdnica (Wyzsza Szkola Technologii Teleinformatycznych), graduating in 2009 with top honors (5.0 grade). During this time, I worked as a hardware/software reseller and technician. I managed networks, supported SQL and fiscal apps, and fixed distributed systems for offices and schools. I even dabbled in electronics, thanks to my first boss who taught me the electronics basics.

Chapter 3: First Real Admin Role (2009–2011)

I joined a pharmaceutical company, Prosper, later formally NEUCA Group, where I managed a small but complex network: dozens of endpoints, own server room with several servers, and a phone exchange. I worked with Windows Server 2008, Novell NetWare, and IPX-booted software. I was the one-man army—remotely fixing issues at 3 AM, eyes half-open, but fully committed.

Chapter 4: Entering the Corporate World (2011–2013)

My corporate journey began with IBM’s Shared Services for Germany. I supported 1st and 2nd line teams, coordinated DR tests, and worked across Windows, Linux, and AIX environments. I provided SAP Basis support and implemented Control-M for major German clients like Lufthansa and Deutsche Bank and much more. Most of time worked as SME.

Chapter 5: Government Projects and Deep Tech (2013–2015)

In 2013, I transitioned internally to a major European Commission project. As a Wintel Administrator, I handled Windows Server deployments, Exchange, Citrix, and VMWare environments. I trained clients, implemented new technologies, and wrote documentation. It was full-spectrum ITIL in action—supporting everything from infrastructure to service management.

Chapter 6: Swiss Banking and Team Leadership (2015–2019)

I joined Credit Suisse as a Messaging and Collaboration Specialist, eventually leading the EMEA Exchange team. We managed Exchange Server, Enterprise Vault, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Microsoft Secure Island and many other collaboration services. I worked closely with vendors, supported Skype for Business, and led DR tests, patching, upgrading, and deploying new products e.g. big platform based on Red Hat for EV replacement.

Chapter 7: Back to IBM/Kyndryl, Bigger Than Ever (2019–Present)

In 2019, I returned to IBM/Kyndryl to rejoin the European Commission project as Senior IT Specialist. This time, the scope was even broader: Exchange 2016/2019, VMWare, Nutanix, Carbon Black, SyslogNG, Splunk, Proofpoint, Trellix, SkyHigh, and more. Not only Windows, but also various appliances and linux based systems. I was part of team which implemented, tested, and maintained a vast array of enterprise tools. No two days were the same—and that’s exactly how I like it.

Chapter 8: What Drives Me

Technology is my playground. I thrive on learning, sharing ideas, and solving problems. Whether it's scripting, architecture, cloud computing, or security - I dive deep. I’ve earned certifications like GOOGLE ACE, Proofpoint DLP Specialist, and ITIL Foundation, and completed courses across Microsoft, Nutanix, Red Hat, and Trellix.

My work is more than a job. It’s a place to grow, connect, and innovate.
Combine your passion with work and you will never work a single day :)
